The biggest upgrade point of the 2025 BYD T5 series is the comprehensive improvement of driving range. The pure electric model T5EV provides four blade battery options with different capacities of 82kWh, 90kWh, 100kWh and 132kWh. Among them, the 132kWh version has a comprehensive working range of 400 kilometers. A variety of power combinations can meet user needs in different operating scenarios.

 

The 2025 pure electric version of T5EV 100kWh and below also has 2C charging rate, and the charging power has been upgraded from the previous 76.8kW to a maximum of 200kW, which greatly improves the charging efficiency. On the basis of ensuring charging safety, the charging time is shortened by more than 50% under the same power, and it only takes 15-18 minutes to charge from SOC 30% to 80%, which greatly alleviates the user's range anxiety.

 

In terms of cost reduction, BYD T5 models all adopt ultra-low wind resistance streamlined design, with the wind resistance of the whole vehicle as low as 0.42cd, and all series use low rolling resistance tires and low drag brakes, rolling resistance is reduced by 18%, and power consumption per 100 kilometers is reduced by 2.1%. In addition, the lightweight design effectively reduces the energy consumption of the whole vehicle through various strategies, improves the range, and makes the energy cost per kilometer lower.

 

In terms of power, BYD T5EV pure electric models use an integral electric drive bridge, a flat wire motor with a maximum efficiency of 97%, and a peak power of 150 kilowatts. Compared with loose wire motors, flat wire motors have better temperature rise performance, smaller size, and higher efficiency. At the same time, the wider motor efficiency range can also fully release the motor performance, and climbing and overtaking are smoother.

 

For new energy vehicles, safety is also a key issue that users give priority to when choosing a car. Blade batteries are one of the trump cards of BYD T5 series. Its advantages are not only simplified structure and high space utilization, but also its ultra-high strength and safety. It uses honeycomb-like aluminum plates with higher structural strength, without fear of "needle puncture test" and side collision risks. With the leading thermal management system, the battery is not only safe, but also has a longer service life.

 

In terms of vehicle braking safety, the BYD T5 series adopts the industry's first light truck BSC braking system. Compared with the traditional vacuum assisted braking system, the braking distance is shorter and the driving braking pressure is more than 15MPa, which can achieve quick parking and avoid danger. In addition, the braking system can be decoupled by wire control, and the braking force can be dynamically distributed to achieve energy feedback, and the battery life is increased by 20%.

 

In addition to escorting the drivers at every stage of the driving process, in the face of accidents caused by excessive reversing blind spots, the 2025 BYD T5 series also comes standard with reversing images and radars with auxiliary lines, which provide double protection and allow the driver to control the situation behind the vehicle at any time and keep safety in his own hands.

 

The 2025 BYD T5 series has added mechanical shock-absorbing seats and armrests, which are standard, which can alleviate the bumps from the ground to a certain extent and make driving easier.
